Why 73 Zero is so special

Thank you for choosing to wear, repair and recycle you clothing.

73 Zero clothing is unique. This is circular clothing that has been designed with its end of life in mind. But more than that, we’ve crafted each piece from lower impact nature-based or recycled materials. You can see what exactly what’s in your clothing, who’s made it and how. Read all about it in your clothing’s DNA story.

Collaboration and Innovation

73 % of clothing ends up in landfill or incinerated.

This is because historically, manufacturers have only made clothes to be worn, not to be recycled. Most brands don’t know how to make recyclable clothing. And it’s not as easy as it looks.

On the other hand, textile recyclers have developed state of the art techniques to recycle fabric back into fabric. But it doesn’t work with typical clothing which is made up of a multitude of different fabrics, trims, buttons and threads.

We needed to join the dots. And that’s what BAM has done with our 73 Zero range.

Your 73 Zero clothing is designed to be recycled. It’s been developed in collaboration with, and certified recyclable by, the Circular Textiles Foundation who work with several pioneering textile recyclers. They have brought the innovative technology. We have completely rethought how to make our clothing to ensure they can recycle it.
